The boy at the Chase

Gary’s love of wrestling grew through Wrestling at the Chase. In his Cauliflower Alley Club tribute, Herb Simmons recalled Mickey Garagiola helping the young fan get into the shows.

Gary began his professional wrestling career in 1984. His story would carry him from the St. Louis wrestling tradition into regional rings and national television.

The journeyman years

Gary appeared on WWF and WCW television during the late 1980s and 1990s, alongside his work in regional wrestling.

In Memphis, he wrestled as Night Train Jackson and held the USWA Junior Heavyweight Championship.

Home is between the ropes

South Broadway Athletic Club and Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling are central parts of Gary’s wrestling story.
